Our support manifests in educational advancement and charitable works, achieved through volunteering. HPUM volunteering is focused in four distinct areas of work, those being geriatrics, medicine, social services, and education. HPUM’s vision is to provide long-term, team-based volunteering opportunities in nearby communities, such that members can obtain a holistic set of skills including teamwork, consistency, and empathy. Consequently, HPUM will benefit a member’s future life and career by increasing the member’s understanding of their patients and the community they serve, facilitating the development of a community-centered health professional.
